What is a Recruitment Counselor?
Sometimes referred to as a “Rho Gamma,” “Rho Chi” or other, these are disaffiliated sorority members who serve as guides during recruitment.
What is a Legacy?
“A daughter, sister or granddaughter of an initiated member of a sorority. Typically, different groups have different definitions of legacies. Being a legacy does not guarantee a bid to a particular sorority. Each inter/national organization has its own policy for invitations to legacies during recruitment.”
What is Recruitment 101?
Recruitment 101 is an annual event hosted by Dallas Alumnae Panhellenic Association for high school senior women and their families to attend. Information is presented is intended to explain what recruitment is, how to be prepare to participate in recruitment and what to expect at recruitment. This is held in January or February and offers speakers to answer any questions you might have. If you cannot attend ours, other local Panhellenic Associations have them as well. We highly recommend attending one of these meetings.
What do I wear for Recruitment?
Each campus will have a guide for you, but typically Recruitment week begins with a t-shirt and each day progressively is more formal. Usually the last day of Recruitment (Preference Day) is cocktail-attire.
